How is 2009? And Feature ^__^

Hey guys,

How has the year been for you all? I have been rather busy, mostly with school, but there were other things that I also had to get done, and I hate having a deadline. Anyway, if you all haven't noticed, I was able to purchase a camera which I'm totally excited about. It's a Nikon D40 and I was told it is ideal for people transitioning from point shoot to SLR. I might consider getting something better in the near future, but that is after I've learned all the tricks to digital photography. So for all you photographers out there, any tips on how to do portrait shots or any tips at all will be mucho appreciated.

On another note, this journal is very overdue, but I just haven't been able to find the time to write it. Two months ago or so, I wrote a journal saying that who ever caught my 7050th preview would get a feature.
